Start a website that gets thousands and thousands of members and tons of traffic. Then, sell it to a company in a foreign country. I hear people that do that make fucking mad bank!
This is irrelevant. I don't have to have kids to think that it is or isn't a good decision. There are some positives to having kids, just not financial ones.
This is true, that's why I limited it solely to finances. If I include the emotional side of things, then it's not so cut and dry. Then you have the water heads that are not thinking about anything except having sex.

If people looked at the financial aspect of kids our future generations would dwindle to nothing, fast.

Of course, the gov't would argue with you as their plans are based on the constant shitting-forth of new taxpayers.
They are a financial decision, are they not? Do you not worry about how you're going to pay for things?
I'll stick to having nieces and nephews. Having kids makes absolutely no sense to me.
Having kids gave me a bit more drive to make money, and sound financial decisions that will make sure I can provide for my family. That's the main reason I work everyday at a job that I dont like, because the money is good. Would I rather not have the expenses that they require looming over me? Sure, but Id rather have kids. I'd rather have a family to look forward to going home to, and spending time with. And I'd rather work my ass off on the side to make sure that we as a family can live comfortably. Financial decisions arent necessarily investments. I didnt have kids to put money in the bank.

Chinese, mexicans, Albanians and others involved in the trafficking of kids.
Mayfield, you have no experience to speak from. If people looked at the financial aspect of kids our future generations would dwindle to nothing, fast. Of course, the gov't would argue with you as their plans are based on the constant shitting-forth of new taxpayers.
You are making broad statements with a lot of assumptions you have no idea about. Children arent an investment, and there is no price tag associated that you can compare it to. It's pretty damn awesome to have and raise children, and the money that it takes is inconsequential.

Sad that my parents looked at the reality of the situation and left the emotion out of it? No.
Looking at having a child through the lens of a financial decision would leave one with the realization that children are a very poor investment. Emotionally, sure, you may find a lot of value in that but the fact remains that you're spending money on a child that you're never going to get back, thus making it a poor financial decision.
Logically speaking this is true.
Having kids changes perspective, but yeah they do not generate income directly. I make mine do chores, so there is some value in that.
