stock #'s on the 5.0:
360 horsepower at 5,500 rpm
380 lb.-ft. of torque at 4,250 rpm
Anyone want to venture a guess on what headers, cat back, and a tune would yield on a 2011-2014 5.0?
Probably wouldn't do a CAI, just drop in a K&N, unless we're talking a major difference.
also:
for 2015, the power is supposed to go up some b/c of new headers and a new intake on the 5.0

Go look at the thread I just posted in the back porch. Our ecoboost engine just blew up on the way home after being replaced for low oil and the motor being chewed up. 55k miles

The 2015 is a huge change. The cab is significantly larger despite the weight cut. I was also very impressed with the ride of the new 4x4 over my current 4x2. That 2.7EB engine was also impressive. Beyond that are lots of little things that I liked..

Any preferences on tuners for the 3.5? I am in the market for one. We pulled the baffle off the blow off valve on Friday night, it's silly but fun.

here is our conversation though fwiw..
got a new 4x4 super crew f150 5.0 whats some good cheap easy shit or a tune to throw at it?
January 3rd, 11:19pm
Headers, exhaust..cold air and tune
We did a kb 3.6 on a 4x4 one...made 750rw, it was a beast
I'm looking at cold air and tune.. is set legit or is a one off deal better?
Sct
Custom tune is the only way to go...unless you do a mail order with someone that data logs it and gives you updates
Don't do cold air without tune
Changes maf flow alot
Thanks for sharing that

riddle me this, Batman
Are these the only header options for this truck?
I would like the 5.0 with stock looking exhaust, but larger diameter, like 2 or 2.5"
Anyone make a chip for the coyote in the F150?
Filter, muffler, larger exhaust pipe (same bends, just larger)

Originally posted by Tremor14 View Posti was told that the loyalty rebate was only if your TRADE was financed through FOMOCO. i didnt get it for just trading another ford.

It's tempting since I could move into a 4x4 but I really would rather have a 2015. That truck just blows me away. I hope they have some big discounts at the end of this year.

I'll have to go check it out although I'm sorta holding out for a 2015 as well. Just curious but why do you prefer the 2015 over the 2014?
