man, I hear ya... I ended up glued to the TV for a while this morning. I flipped on Fox News to get some finance updates (lazy) and this BS took hold.

On a more serious note....am I the only one who is seriously starting to worry about an impending war within the borders of this country? This shit is spinning more & more out of control, and I'm afraid it's about to break into a national riot type of war. I'm not a tinfoil hat type guy, nor have I ever been, but I feel something bad coming....something really bad.

Im likely among the least of the tin foil hat types, but it sure does seem like a lot more civil unrest than I think ive seen in my lifetime.

The civil unrest of the 1960's was much worse.

IMO a lot of the issues that would lead to an all out race war can be averted. It doesn't even have to be difficult. Several simple things could set things back on the right course..

1. end the drug war that primarily targets blacks and has been pretty damn useless to begin with.
2. Stop using the Police as a source of municipal revenue.
3. Reform the prison system. We still throw drug users in prison in many states. That kind of stupidity needs to stop. We also need to create real ways to integrate ex-cons back into society so they can make a decent living and not want to do things that lead them to commit crimes.

Obviously that won't fix everything but those are fairly simple and achievable things. Hell even Rick Perry is on board with reforming the prison system and at least addressing the drug war issues. Texas leads the nation in prison reform policies.
