And those that say they wouldn't have taken the pay day in loyalty to the membership or taken a 50% cut on the price autoguid offered are full of it.

Maybe I am just greedy but that's a nice pay day for me and my family.

That's called selfish behavior, and it's becoming quite prevalent in the world today. Yes he can do that, and legally he might be in the right, but it's still a d!ck move, no matter how you cut it.

There are lots of things that are legal to do, but in the end are things a decent human being should not do, and this was one of them. In all aspects of life you should take into account the involvement of others and how your actions will affect them.

Your mentality is what is infecting corporate America today, moving call centers to India, selling out to the highest bidder, sacrificing their employees to appease the stockholder and the bottom dollar, etc. Some things are worth more than money, and if you do decide to go down that path, don't be shocked when it blows up in your face... don't post up acting like it's a shock that everyone is upset over the situation.

Now the members are all taking Joses side, even if it is possible that he misunderstood his co-ownership(not saying anything about which side is right or true, just my observations on what's going back and forth)

It's actually a little amusing to me to watch him try and do damage control when he has no personal relationship with any of the people who post there any more. It's just like sales. People buy from people, not companies.

Once again, I know all that. But to say we could have raised $20k in a matter of say weeks or even a couple months is crazy. I did donate on the old board when donations first started so I have been there and done that. As much as I would love to believe it, I dont see the board raising $20k when it was obvious we barely broke even maintaining it most of the time.

It is a moot point now, but I think you are wrong when it comes to the capabilities of the user base here, JMO!
