Chris owns (owned) the "title" to dfwstangs. There would be a legal battle if someone else tried to sell it, even if they could.

Well, i'm sure this site would have been made and we'd all be over here pissed off because a shitty company bought the old site.

I'd probably also be giving Chris some numbers of lawyers to call since the site was sold by someone who doesn't own the "title".

You're certainly right until this part. Sure, he fucked some people over, but what does that matter at this point? Those people have been offered the EXACT same positions over here with essentially the same community. Nothing has to change at all, but egos are bruised and so we have what's going on now.

Hell, I'd be willing to be that the individual that was screwed in the deal on the old site could probably stand to gain creative and authoritative control over what they previously had.

I think that jose at the least got screwed out of some cash. He certainly had no warning or input into the sale process, and had no possibility to acquire ownership. Chris might not think so, but jose WAS the face of management at dfwstangs events and GTGs. I'd always see him at MMCM events and at the cruises, and he was known to make quite a few bar GTGs.

I think the membership got sold out due to the nature of the deal. I mean, really, canadians? The site IS the membership.

If it's the well being of my family versus the business or my job, then yes I would take the interest of my family above all that. But there is still a correct way of doing things... Chris just handled the situation badly.

Would he have lost some money notifying Jose and the membership? Possibly, but it is still the right thing to do. Money is not the be all end all, and I'm sure his family would not find itself starving if he had lost a few bucks on the sale.

I've been around for it all as well and the last time i saw Chris was late 2004 when he came by my dads shop for an A/C compressor for his coupe. before that back in the late 90s early 2000's he was around more.
