If I go for a hardtop it will be the Hot Rod with top. Once I get my current cobra running I am gonna take inventory of what I have laying around and see what I would need to complete a simple cobra build with EFI.

Have you seen the turbo Cobra builds? There are some real nasty ones out there. Even with my current power plant with 650rwhp on a lazy tune it would be suicidal in a 2250# Cobra. There sure is plenty of room in the engine bay forward of the motor for the turbo though.

I think you could rumble the trunk of the 33 Hot Rod or both might be able to do a bench type seat with a hump for the kid seat base. My wife gave me a green light with conditions I sell two cars. If I use the Cobra to pull from and sell it as a shell there is one. I can sell her truck for number two. lol

I have not gotten off the damn Factory Five forums, parts pages since yesterday. One side wants to take my 1995 Cobra and strip it down to donor parts and then rebuild it back to factory and sell it. I have everything but long block, trans and some suspension to put it back to stock.

I could use my stuff to build a Mk4 or I could garage sell the shit out of it and build their '33 Hot Rod.

Holding me back is two seater and kid's seat. I wonder if there is enough room between the two buckets on the center console to mount a car seat. lol

This. The car still hasn't been painted yet. Which sucks cause its not done, but on the other hand I can drive it and not worry about chipping a 10k paint job.

I haven't done the gears yet. But for the new axles, brake brackets, complete calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, and new e brake cables it came out around $850. I did this myself, but will not be doing the gears myself.

So what was your total cost for the rear end to put it back to fox length and get the 3.73's installed? Did you do it yourself or have it done?
