I went from 2.56 to 4.56 once w/ a TH350.

The first drive after the swap was quite the confusing affair for both me and the speedo.

My 69 had a c4 and 2.7x gears, and then a t3550 with 4.30's. Quite a difference.

my brother had a GT that he kept 2.73's in, it had a bunch of torque and liked them. Added bonus: you could really get a long John Force burnout going for a long way.

Oh yeah definitely. I just remember watching guys row gears next to me thinking I had a powerglide. I basically had one shift involved in making a point.
