This new one is gonna be just as nice or better. I learned a lot on the vert.

Love the sn95. Still debating keeping it black or a shade of black in a wrap.

    cage coming along

    Wheels came out great.

motor pulled and standing by. I contacted Ed Curtis to update the cam. So it might go to a shop to get looked over and cam swap.

Original Kbscobravert shell off to storage.

So much room in there now. Coyote?

    Got some interior lined out.

Never could find a red dash. Just as well, I painted a tan one.

    Making caging

Team Z 10pt plus torque box bars, pass rocker bar, rear triangulation bars, and rear half kit in primer getting ready for a coat of black today, weld in tomorrow. Then its finish ARB mount that isn't sitting well with Wild Rides S-box, install rear shock bar, paint the rear end and assemble, a few odds and ends and she will roll out the chassis shop.

Car needs a massive deep cleaning underneath. Has undercoating that's just nasty.

Seam sealer should be here today and I'll seal the tubs.

Flaming River manual rack will be here Friday and I can finish the front to a rolling chassis.

Rear end parts from strange are semi MIA. They are almost all out at some race this week.

My Billet Specialties street lite 15x12s showed up with the MT 325/50-15 ET Street Rs.

Something like this guy. The level to detail seems pretty close.

Holly fuck balls. I have just spent the last 8 hours reading this guy's thread. The halon system is interesting no doubt. But the wiring PORN is by far my favorite. So much to learn and save photos of. The new car is going to be fancy-shmancy with the electrical. Going to use a solid state Power Distribution Module and a switch panel like Motec or Smartwire keypad for everything the ECU doesn't control. The car is going to be a wire from scratch.

Or maybe the factory stuff should be left alone, and just go over the top of it with the foam, and then the mass loaded vinyl.

Another thing... did they sell a hell of a lot more stangs in 94? Seems like you always see people having 94's, and the 95's are much less common.
Dry ice works the best to pulling up the old sound deadener. My vert has full dynamat interior with a layer of mass foam too.

This car will not have any of it. I will put new carpet in and might use the mass back stuff but not sure if I want to spend the extra money for it. Not worried about sound in this one.

Should. May have to grind the block for the brake line. But in the meantime I am looking at a set or Wilwood or Aerospace also.

Probably should have just went Wilwood to start with. Their kit to bolt up to the 9" Torino bearing housing end is about $800. I spent $200 on the bracket from strange to adapt from that housing end to factory brakes. Another $600 and I would have had a brand new brake set up. Still not counting that out though.

So, this new car is in the shop with Matt getting 12pt cage plus a few more bars, through floor subs, relocated upper shock mount, mini tubs. It will get Optic Armor front and rear "glass". I have a rear from Christian that BigShoe is going to narrow 3" each side, Strange big Ford bearing ends, Strange brake adapter to run Sn95 stock cobra brakes on Ford 9" housing ends, Racecraft relocated adjustable lower control arms with brace and their tube brace kit, and the tubes welded. I am ordering some Billet Specialties Comp 5 15x12 double bead lock 5" bs wheels.

While it is apart and a roller, I want to get it painted before going back together with suspension parts and all my motor/trans/fuel/electronics from cobravert.

So, I am making changes to KbscobraVERT and converting it into KbscobraCOUPE or affectionately known as #milliondollarcobraV2.

The body is in fair shape minus the back left corner panel needs attention. But the paint looks like shit up close. Looks like it was done just to make it a 10-footer.

I am toying with going back to the original black or a wrap in matte or satin blacks.

What can I expect to pay and who can do this? I don't want a hook up no recourse to the final result kind of deal. I want someone to take it on and have pride in the final result. Something I can say "______ painted it" and be happy about it.

Car will be stripped, no windshield or back window, a roller (maybe nothing in the engine bay) and can be brought stripped to the painter/body guy's liking. Will be ready for paint possibly the end of June or sometime up until mid/late August. Just depends on Matt, me making changes and my next R&R.
