I see, that wont work in my application since the body of the transmission is too large preventing the crossmember from even fitting the mounting holes.

I don't see how, I'm not sure how the width difference is between a fox/SN and the early cars. I assume you're saying weld tabs to the inside of the frame extensions and use the late model cross member?

I'm just going to fab something up, there is the option of getting an AOD conversion cross member but I'm not paying $150-180 for something that may or may not fit (my last one didn't). So I'm going to break out the fab tools and coolwhip something up.

Oh, I was thinking I was going to be ok, because they were the same. Looking that up to verify, I see that there are two, one for the t5, and another for AOD/tremec. I bought the aod/tremec to begin with.

what's up with the mount?

Its for the T5 and doesn't wrap around in the proper location. It fits too far forward
