Radials? Where your street tires bias ply? 2.0 isn't bad for a street tire unless they were drag radials. What did it run with a 2.0? Your mph can help you determine where your 60ft should be.

1.7 is doable on stock suspension with lowers and slicks. You shouldn't have a problem.
The 2.0 was a old shitty bald 275/50/15 nitto drag radial.

    2.24 was a 225/55/16 kuhmo street tire.

It traps right around 77-80mph every time.

I attempted the track when it was cold to see what it would run with the 3.73s. It was humid, cold and I had bald tires. I ran a 9.6 @ 76mph, catching no grip. I would lift completely and get back in it to only spin more. Horrible day.

    The 2.0-2.1ish was 8.97@79mph.

When I had the radials, I was straight dumping the clutch. (dumb) 2.73s that doesn't work well.. Live and learn.

Yes, I do need to work on my pedaling.
I've got a set of 255 DRs sitting on some chrome ponies. They're currently on my car in the garage. If you want to make a couple of passes, go get them.

79 is good for stock, you can cut 1.8's all day with a 79mph car. You don't need a bunch of extras, just good control arms and tires.

A 315 street tire, sure it'll look good. But that wide of a sticky tire is not nessacery.
And did you notice I never said anything about him needing it? What if that is his only tire and he wants to have a badass look, but occasionally go to the track?

Too bad he can't donate some rubber to you, John Force.

It now has gears, and hopefully with full drag suspension I can get 1.8 or better.

    I'd like a 1.7, but I don't see that with stock power.

Just as I thought, you didn't understand what those comments meant.

I'll wager both are a little off.

So you have no clue? Gotcha. Just saying that someone comes off as an idiot isn't criticism, it's just name calling. Just like me saying you come off as a faggot, faggot.
