Yeah, you're never going to get a true # from these guy's mouths. The best you could hope for is seeing what # they run at the track (if they allow it to be shown) and then kind of go from there.

To be on that OKC list, I'd imagine you'd need to have at least 1,000rwhp, minimum, to even be competitive for the 10 spot.

1000hp is also what I was thinking.

      • I don't think you need a 1000 hp, you just gotta go from A to B without all the tire spin.

With that being said, at least 2000 to be on the top 3. They have 3 stages of nitrous that probably make close to 1500 hp itself.
Doing enough racing for 99% of the board!

        • They need to have some true "daily drivers" on the show. I'm talking tagged, and inspected, pump gas, DOT tires etc. Anyone I guess could build a track car and put it on the street.

Oklahoma doesn't do inspection. And if you look around almost all of them are street driving them

The key is they are the "fastest street raced cars."

People still don't/can't understand what that concept means. Murder Nova went and picked his kid up from school in his car and it has an Oklahoma license plate, working lights, working windows, two seats, etc.

It is incredibly hard to manage the type of power that they put down onto the street with little to no prep and I respect them for what they can do/have done so far. They've taken out some pretty nasty rides that just about everyone else hasn't stood a chance against.

Racing "street legal" cars isn't exciting. You have to remember that this is a show and so there has to be some sort of entertainment/excitement value to it. Racing the cars they do brings that exact thing. Seeing some dude in his 2014 GT500 race some guy in a Viper isn't going to get people to watch.
