    Why are they losing?

One name comes to mind...Nolan Ryan.

You all know I don't like Wash, but this isn't on him. Hard to win game win you only have two guys on the field that should actually be there. Maybe three

It could be a lot worse! The Red Sox (defending world champions) are in dead last and they didn't lose most of their rotation within the first couple of weeks of the season. Their big bats (Ortiz and Napoli) are healthy and the only regular they've lost is Victorino. The Yankees just lost Tanaka and he may need Tommy John surgery, joining Sabathia and Pineda on the DL for a while. They don't have a replacement for Jeter, AROD is going to be on the roster next year and Teixeira isn't getting any younger. They are going to suck badly next year and will probably have the second highest payroll. The Phillies are probably going to lose Rollins to free agency, Lee is hurt and they are trying to dump Hamels and Papelbon.

I think a lot of this season has to do with losing Jackie Moore. Wash has his good points but he relied on his bench coach a lot. He's not coming back obviously and I don't think Wash can do his job without him or someone as experienced.

I don't think he's any more responsible now than he was when they were winning.

But hey the latest injury report says Fielder may be back before the end of this season, which I'm betting means the insurance policy won't pay and it'll cost the team $12 million or so.

So Oakland is threatening to move their team to San Antonio.

The area could definitely support another pro team and I'm all for closer games for the Rangers.

It'll definitely get better. The free agent market is going to be flooded with good pitching this offseason and we have the best available closer plus lots of middle infielder talent available to trade before the deadline. Plus at the rate we are going now we'll probably have one of the top 3 draft picks. I'd love to see us pickup Riley Ferrell from TCU.

As a long time fan and season ticket owner, all I can say is that it is only going to get better. Thank goodness I only go to 20 games a year and not the full 81, although I get the company tickets from time to time.

It will be interesting to see what Daniel's does with all this major league experience in the winter meetings. If he can't field a competitive team next year, he needs to go and we need to get the Dallas native from Tampa to come GM here.
