Actually. he told her to go inside her house, he never said anything about wanting her to stand on the porch. I imagine if she was filming from the window, he would have been beating on her door.

He also cops a fucking attitude right off by saying "you seem to be very, uhhh, anti-police so I don't feel safe with you standing behind me". How is she being 'very anti-police', by standing in her yard holding a camera?

In instances like this, just firing the prick isn't enough, if the woman has to go to jail for factious charges, the cop needs to go to jail for a minimum of the same amount of time, then be forced to pay the same amounts for bail/time work time lost, etc. If these guys were held responsible for their actions, this type of shit wouldn't happen. Instead, he'll get a paid vacation until his cronies decide what to do, then reprimanded, or fired at worse.

    Same ol' shit.

You have the rights. Go try that in a foreign country and they don't warn, they will just start beating you or worse yet shoot you because they can.
Who tha fuck cares about foreign countries? "show off their rights"? WTF? Are you saying we're lucky we have the rights we do, and the cops should take some of those rights away?

In THIS country we have a constitution, and cops are servants to the PEOPLE.

I wasn't talking about this particular situation. Obviously the cop was in the wrong on this. I was making a general statement that sometimes these videographers go out of there way and element to make a point that really isnt there. That isnt the case here.

Would you want someone pestering you while doing your job, and yours isnt dangerous granted you were on traffic stop and detaining a few people.

Like I said, if the cop starts doing something illegal and a camera is whipped out to document said legal activity, then it should be allowed and if its tried to be covered up, then even more so they should be punished.

Freedom is freedom, but it can be abused like anything.

LEO's are trained public servants. They should have an exponentially greater since of descression and proffessionalism than the common joe. If one lady with a video camera can get under your skin, you should not possess the power of taking one's freedom.

Good thing this is the US of Fucking A then instead of some shithole foreign country.

It doesn't matter what the cop wanted, he was completely out of his authority to tell her to do anything on her own property seeing as how she had broken no laws.

I could see the 1st and 4th ammendments being violated here along with a number of other laws.

Clearly he was violating her rights as she was on her own property. A warning does not constitute upholding an individuals rights. Not arresting them on some bullshit charge tends to follow their rights a little more.

Authority, when it is out of place, needs to be questioned.

I see both sides of the story. 1.) Its usually people that videotape that just do it to get a rise and prove they "have the right." Then theres 2.) The overwhelming cop that goes overboard. I can see if someone see's a cop acting illegally and starts videotaping, but just doing it to egg on the cop to draw a reaction is fucking stupid and they should not be doing it. Especially if its a dicey situation for the LEO.
