And they are still the promo, best of the best shop in DFW for Jeeps. I'm sure the guy with all the money will pay to have his shock mounts relocated... not like its a hard mod.

But CJ is right... if you want a Jeep for crawling, stick with a model below the TJ and spend the rest on mods. JK's are great if you aren't looking to go wheeling but a couple times a year.
He told me Baertrax did the V8 swap.

The son owns the shop now and their rep is still good as far as I know (from other customers). Judging from the year of the jeep I would assume the new one.

Either way, the point is the JK's sacrifice ground clearance for that better ride quality, and they do. For a grocery getter/family van JK's make sense. For off-roading, I'd rather save 20k and get a TJ which is more capable, lighter, and has a better motor for low rev crawling.

now, a 4 door with a bed... that's pretty bad ass.

I hate the looks of the new four doors, but I'm in love with the Jk-8 conversion. It's just too damn expensive....for a jeep.

So why are 5 year old jeeps still $25k?? I found an '05 wrangler that I love, but at a $20k plus price tag? What the hell makes a jeep wrangler worth north of $20k? I just don't get it.

As much as I don't care for the JK, the Rubi JK is pretty damn capable right off the showroom floor. Still looks like fun!

I am awaiting my set of 35x1250x15 Goodyear MTR/K tires to get here and some generic D window wheels. I cant wait to ditch these damn 33" BFG ATs

So I thought I'd revive this thread a little. Did some demodding and then stock-modding to the Rubicon. Wife is pregnant with our second kid, so getting in the jeep was starting to get difficult. I sold the 37s and got a set of 33 inch Falken Rocky Mountain ATS's, and also sold the shrockworks stubby front bumper, and chopped the front and rear stock bumpers because the stock length SUCKS.

Nice Rreemo! I picked up a '96 Cherokee Country as well right at a month ago. Wanted a cheap daily for bad weather days and to keep miles off the mustang. Mine is white also, but not nearly in that good of condition...but does have leather and power locks, center console, etc. Mine has 165k on the clock. I'll try to get some pics up on here later today. I can't really complain for a vehicle that was only $2k.

I really like that Jeep, no frills, nothing unnecessary. That would be my ideal SUV, it is a shame none are made like that today.

Well, those are diesel motors, which obviously should go at LEAST 500k. This is a gas engine that can easily do 300k, well beyond any average gas motor.
