Where's that video again of dude sitting on his porch, police are lined up with guns drawn in thinking perp is armed. They send in the dog, police think shots are fired and they unload. Even killing their own dog...
Seems to be a matter of opinion from people to different police forces.
Cops never use a dog when there's a suspected deadly weapon...

The cops knew nothing on this guy other than he was going crazy in a restaurant and he just took a Tazer with no ill-effects.

Some cops just go a little over the top. Sure I think it was justified. But 10 rounds? Lol they either can't shoot and missed or those were some weak guns or they just went a little to far. I watched Greenville cops put over 25 rounds in the side of a truck killing a guy that was running from them. Sure I think it was justified. His truck was a deadly weapon. But come on popping off 25 rounds in the middle of town with people everywhere is almost as bad as the guy running from them.

Only 25 rounds? How many shooters? Say there were 7 Shooters? so each cop fired less than 4 rounds? Were there less cops? Were there only five shooters, and each cop fired 5 times? If they all fire simultaneously, its easy for that shit to add up quick.

do you want them to have some sort of shooting plan where only one guy fires? That insane. If there are 10 cops firing at one guy, I wouldnt be shocked if the dude had 70 bullet holes in him.

If the K9 is equal it wouldn't be used, since the human officers tried tasing him and he wasn't affected and still posessed the very weapon he destroyed the restaurant with. Why send in a K9 to a high-percentage casualty situation? Basically, what good does it do to basically roll the dice on the guy killing the dog, all in the name of NOT killing a violent perp? That makes no sense. If the perp lived after killing the dog, he would be jailed for eternity due to killing a LEO.

I want an officer to comment on this, I think it's correct:

You don't send the K9 in if there's reasonable belief that the perp possesses and/or may use a deadly weapon. You see K9s chasing guys down and what-not, but I've never seen a K9 sent after a confrontational perp with a weapon.
