Some of us just happen to be more perfect than others without ever having done anything to irritate others.
Meh, some people have their hot button. Maybe he has a neighbor with a loud stereo that pisses him off all the time. Maybe he just takes issue with me. Maybe he was just playing around.
Who knows, who cares. Its the internet.
You. I said "general douchiness", did not call you a douche. Just likened your attitude to be douche like. At any rate Roscoe I did not realize we had problems. If it was all in fun than its all good and even if it wasn't I am not going to cry over someone on the internet (or person) calling me an asshole. I try to be the nice guy and not the asshole but I guess at times I can be one. Maybe last night was my time.
Hell, for all I know last night they could have just been patrolling and I was over sensitive to the issue.
I did pull my truck in the shop and put on a couple of the bass heavy songs I was listening to last night and set it at the same volume and then closed the doors just to see what it was like. While the bay doors did rattle I couldn't feel anything bass wise as soon as I stepped out of the service bay. But I do have constant traffic here to mask it so who knows.
Opinions vary. I can crank my stereo to levels where you can scream at the person next to you and they not hear you yet when the truck is closed you can stand a foot away and barley hear it. The bass on the other hand does shake shit. As I was listening to mostly old rock and instrumental in the beginning I didn't even have the subs on but as I got the settings where I liked I turned on the subs and closed my eyes and just enjoyed it. Before I noticed it an hour had passed and I had slowly turned it up with each song. I was nowhere near my normal loud limits but was still loud enough to cause some shake.
Was unintentional but it happened and I am at fault so I guess I am an asshole.
Nice chat.
You sound like a boy that just discovered his dick...
I have a stereo. It gets loud, probably louder than your's, but I still respect my neighbors...

I really try to be conscious of my neighbors as its a nice quiet neighborhood but I just got lost in the music. That's what a stereo should do to you I guess. LOLZ.
So I was sitting in my driveway playing with the new setup and sampling songs from many different bands and styles. Rush, The Who, Talking Heads, Lady Gaga (she does have a great voice), Clair Marlo, Korn, Disturbed etc etc. I was sitting back after finding the audio systems sweet spot and just really enjoying the sound. I notice a cop car creeping up the road with both spot lights on and aiming them at every Chevy truck on my road. I didn't think much about it and then noticed its 10:00 and that the number I had my volume at will shake my entire shop, not realizing just how much I had turned it up in that hour, and thought "Uh-oh. Wonder who I am ticking off?" LOL
Got out of the truck right as they were passing me and they stopped and stared hard at my truck. I just smiled and waived then went inside.

Jose, I still remember my first build. 84 ElCamino SS. Sony just came out with their pull-out CD player, the kind you carry like a lunch box lol. Realistic 11 band EQ, two Realistic 80 watt amps, Alpine 5.25 in the bottom of the doors, Rocford Fosgate Series 1 3" mids in the dash and JBL 1" Titanium tweeters run with a Realistic house 3-way crossover and a pair of JBL 8" subs in a compound push-pull sealed box.
That system got so many compliments on precision I was hooked. Since then I have had a deck from almost every manufacturer, components from almost every manufacturer and all kinds of subs. Rockford Audiophiles, Infinity Betas, MTX Black Golds, Alumapros, AURA, Focal, Soundstream Mules, Boston Velvet Hammers etc etc.
Been and audio buff for a long time but its been a good few years since my last setup I did in my blown Mark VIII.
Truck needed something good and cheap but my OCD kicked in and I have been upgrading this one as funds allow. I have no desire to sell this truck so figured may as well build my best system yet. Still need the better deck which is why I am gonna sell my 8400BH so cheap and then after that there is only one more upgrade I want. I want the Illusion C12XL subs but they are a grand each so that will be a while. LOL
