Good luck trying to find one of those right now. I've called several local shops and no one has them. Even several of the big dealers at the gun show this weekend said it'll be a while before they get any in.

Best bang for the buck 1911 on the market is the Ruger SR1911. Ruger is an American Company that uses All Amercan made parts in it's 1911 and has a price that is very attractive!

I'm looking for the next step up from the GI model which is the Operator. But unfortunately it's becoming a bitch to find in their champion (4" carry frame). It comes with the skeleton hammer, adjustable trigger, forward rail, and night sights.

i had the "big hawg" 14+1 i liked the idea, but had to send it to a gunsmith and after that i really just lost faith in it. if i cant trust it to work at the range, then i cant trust it to protect my family so i traded it off.

Makes sense, who wants a firearm that doesn't fire reliably. If I got one, it would be cheap and I would see if CJ could get it running/cycling properly.
