seriously? so 4 DNF's due to mechanical failure and one wreck have left him with zero points for those five races all in which he was running top 10 or higher. Since then he was on pole (minus penalty) at Monaco, 3rd in Spain, qual'd 3rd at Silverstone, finished 7th due to bad strategy. Rossberg in the same car was not even in the top 10. How is that washed up? I'd say unlucky. Otherwise, he'd be in the top 5 or 6 in points and when you look at the top 10 in points, that is some serious talent and hardware to run against.

The top 5 teams have 10 competitive cars which is keeping things interesting. Throw in Maldenado and Perez and you have the BEST F1 season in ages. You just can't predict ANYTHING other than Vettel taking pole, but even that doesn't guarantee a win for him these days.

Kudos to Massa this week. He knows his job is on the line and performed well. Button sure has been sucking lately, I would say he is washed up before someone else. Grosean is a freakin' speed demon. Had he qual'd better and not had the Lap 1 contact, that fugger might have won that race! Raikonen will win a race this year as should Grosean.

Meh, there was enough going on back in the back to keep it interesting while Alonso was running away with is.

What a drive from Grosjean to come from the very back of the pack up to 6th, though. Homeboy is quick, as is that Lotus chassis.

After visiting the circuit this week, he is confident the race will be a success.

"It is clear that the significant resources Circuit of The Americas has committed to completing this facility on time and to FIA specifications is making a difference," a Circuit of the Americas statement quoted Whiting as saying. "The more than 500 construction workers on site daily are making great progress, and I plan to return to Austin at the end of August for an update. My formal pre-race inspection is set for Sept. 25, which is 60 days before the scheduled start of the Formula One United States Grand Prix.

"From the world-class motorsports facilities and fan areas to the racecourse itself, which promises to be one of the most challenging new additions to our season, I believe Circuit of The Americas has the ability to put on a great show and spectacular Grand Prix in its inaugural year. I look forward to my next visit in August."

All I can say is that this season has been fantastic so far!!! I've watched every race from practice to checkers and can't remember a better season in recent history. (20+ years). Just fantastic.

Super late in the race and you come in for super softs?!?!?! WTF?!?!?!? What a pay off!! Hamilton winning in Canada, on strategy, that was deemed as "Oh Boy Oh Boy"!?!?!

    Love this sport!

Great call by Red Bull to bring him in for the super softs there at the end, probably picked him up 2-3 spots.

Race in Austin might have a lot at stake in who wins the championship.
A few more laps and Grosjean might have had a chance to catch Hamilton, which would have been something.

Edit: But dude, Austin can't have an impact on the championship because it's not happening. Duh.
