Before you get into the nursing program in college, your psychiatric history must be evaluated by the Texas Board of Nursing. You can have all of the letters of recommendation in the world, but if they look at your two hospitalizations and failed suicide attempt and decide that you are far too much of a liability, you cannot get your nursing license. If you're not eligible for your nursing license, you can't get a job as a nurse. Capisci?
