Steve-helio was not as small or frail as the Gracie jj guys want you to believe.
Size does matter and you know it. That's why there are weight classes. There is a sliding scale on how much technique is needed for a smaller guy to overcome size and strength and you know it.
2 guys with equal technique and experience with one being 50 PBS heavier and also stronger. Come on don't be dense just to try to say something we both already know is bs.

There's nothing sexual about it all. I have seen a couple of guys whom are usually very young struggle with the issue.

Are you guys open next week? Danny is closed and I could maybe drop in Wednesday or Thursday?
Wasn't BJJ developed by a little 98 pound brazillian guy named some weird name...oh Helio, in order to be able for a smaller person to defeat a larger one?
Weight has nothing to do with it and you know it. I've been dominated by bigger and smaller, it's all about technique. You know better than that.
No, the school will be closed until the 2nd and also the school is moving locations from Sachse into Wylie. The lower ranked students will be at a gymnasium at the church and all the upper ranked guys will be at Shannon's house. He's got a full matted gym in his house we will be working out of now. He decided he didn't want to do the commercial side of it anymore and teach whom he wants. He got tired of the socializers and wallflowers who just come into class rep a technique once or twice then sit around and talk. Along with traditional BJJ, we'll be doing our combative version with gloves and striking as usual, but now we know anyone there will know what they are getting into and want to train hard as well. No more whiners, thank God.

As far as how prolactin affects this process...there are compounds released by the hypothalamus called prolactin inhibitory factor (dopamine is the main one) and prolactin releasing factor (TRH is one of the major releasing factors) which modulate prolactin secretion. When you have primary hypothyroidism (primary meaning the problem is with the thyroid gland) the body "sees" the low thyroid hormone level and the hypothalamus/pituitary start secreting TRH/TSH to try to get the thyroid level up but since the thyroid isnt functioning for whatever reason, the response is either not there or not sufficient. This excess TRH floating around will stimulate the pituitary gland to secrete prolactin which is why many people that have symptoms of hyperprolactinemia are checked for prolactinoma and primary hypothyroidism. It is a common mistake to diagnose someone with the tumor by looking at the labs and an MRI because the pituitary is hypertrophied...but this isnt a tumor. The gland is just large due to the amount of TRH the body is slamming on the pituitary. Kinda like an overworked muscle...it get larger in response. I would say get a second opinion in your case, but without insurance, that can get expensive real quick!! Hope this answers your questions.
