I don't disagree with that, necessarily. However, take what you both just said and then look at how the word was used. It was autocorrected from someone using the n word. It wasn't thrown out by someone trying to insult a white person. In fact, it wasn't even actually used at all, unless you want to call the software/auto correct feature the racist.

There's still a difference here, because the n word has so much impact throughout history that even the use of the word without the conscious intent to insult is still actually insulting to most black people. So again, it's not hypocritical to say or feel like the use of the n word is unacceptable and at the same time feel like a word being autocorrected to the word cracker is fine.

My response was more in line with cracker or peckerwood not being offensive. I understand and agree with what you are saying about the auto correct.

I still disagree to an extent on your second point. I don't use the word so it doesn't really impact me but there is a double standard. If it is offensive it should be offensive for everyone, including black people, which it is obviously not.

It doesn't impact me though. I don't say it, it's not even part of my vocabulary to even slip out.

I've been called a cracker before. It made me laugh.

I can't recall ever being called one before, but I have witnessed a very heated screaming match in which it was being used in such a manner that one would be 100% convinced it was very offensive. But I had to laugh.
