The Jennings case is the one that forced him into early retirement.

He did talk about both cases and said Opal would be found near water based on the profile they had of the killer.

She was later found off Silver Creek Rd near Lake Worth.

He worked as a lead homicide investigator for several years and told me about some of his cases like his interview with serial killer Henry Lee Lucas.

July was a year since his passing and what I would give just to hang out with him one more time.
I still have my dad and I'm very thankful for that. He was Sherman PD for 25 years and then went to work for the federal marshalls. He has tons of stories. I thought I wanted to be a cop. Last 2 years and said to hell with this. My Dad was typing his report on this case when the guy came through the front door of the PD bleeding like a stuck pig. He heard the women up front screaming, ran upstairs and took him into custody.

Come on man you're being a little bit too harsh on the guy, if that's not a face that would make the Cooter of an 8 year old girl get wet I don't know what is.

Interesting. Although this line from that page is kinda wtf:

DPS Cannot guarantee the records you obtain through this site relate to the person about whom you are seeking information. Searches based on names, dates of birth and other alphanumeric identifiers are not always accurate. The only way to positively link someone to a criminal record is through fingerprint verification.

Guess it's like "oh ok, i hope it's accurate..."

Agreed on that one. I think that one state handles it right. What was it... alabama, arkansas..? Can't remember. But one state has the age of consent at 15. Good on 'em. Fuck all that tying up the courts with dumb people. Dumb parents, dumb jailbait, dumb guys going after the jailbait. I like that state's stance cause it just lets them all be dumb together, and keeps the taxpayer out of it.

Percentage wise there is the same amount of pedophiles out there as there has always been. The people you see as registered sex offenders are not always real pedophiles and IMHO about half of them did not even commit a crime. The word pedophile means a person who is attracted to a prepubescent child and it is not someone that fucked some jail bait.

Probably did but there was nothing to be done. Him being at work somewhere near there, means nothing. How many other pedophiles have been in the area, when some kid got abducted by somebody else.. They're freaking everywhere now.
