"Most likely you will eventually upgrade". Those are the famous last words of someone who will never be satisfied. You don't build a car on "if's". He has a plan and he should stick to it. Should he decide to upgrade anything down the road, he can sell the existing unneeded parts and buy and/or trade for the parts that he needs at that time. What you're suggesting is overkill and unnecessary. I also don't see where he says he is going to add aluminum heads down the road. The accufab race throttle body is also a unnecessary in my opinion. It doesn't have the standard vacuum port elbow either. If I remember correctly, there were some tests done years ago that proved the 70mm throttle body provided much more air velocity than larger opening throttle bodies, which is more ideal for a smaller CI motor that is naturally aspirated like what he is doing here.

And that cam is fairly mild, it would probably pass emissions too.

I would have the heads milled a little bit because the cam overlap will drop the CR a little. Do those have the 55 or 60cc chambers?

Listen, most likely you will eventually upgrade so lets do this the right way. Accufab 75mm "race" tb. That's a full 4" opening nad will be great with the LMAF and 4" CAI. No reducers will be needed filter to tb. Next, why not go with 30# injectors and a LMAF meter. When he adds aluminum heads then he won't need to upgrade those 24# injectors or get a retune. Run a systemax or RPM II intake. If you want to do any mild porting 1" into the heads or intake then do it on the short turn areas and sides. Take it back a full inch into the ports. The alignment of the roof, then the sides are most important.

Pepboys in denton sells the 4" 4bolt adapter or I usualy mill the flange off and get rid of that problemOriginally posted by 91CoupeMike View PostThat's a good deal, what would I have to use with that to make it work with an anderson power pipe? Or any CAI for my model? That one uses 4 bolts while I need a flange.
Sorry if my questions are stupid, I just want to do this once. Lol
Also, you can calibrate or tune the lighting to work properly with 24# injectors right? Do you use MAFia for that? Or is it all done inside the ECM?

Mike ill go over this again,
Rpm, typhoon style intake
70mm tb you pick the brand
You don't need anything more than 24lbrs
Lightning maf ( has a quality sensor, no restriction, wide range in the sensor)
Anderson powerpipe 4" to match the maf
Egr , inector maf stuff will all be fixed in the tune.
And trust me the 6250 rpm redline will come quickly with this combo so don't worry about the intake.
P.s. I have a lightning maf fs (cheap) if you want it.

depends on whether the factory regulator is supplying the correct pressure.Originally posted by 91CoupeMike View PostIll be using 24# injectors. Is an adjustable regulator necessary?
no, not with a tune.Originally posted by 91CoupeMike View PostIs deleting the egr going to cause any drivability issues?

Ill be using 24# injectors. Is an adjustable regulator necessary?Originally posted by Lone Sailor View PostI bet you won't even be at 80% duty cycle on 19 pound injectors with that combo. You sure as hell don't need 30 pound injectors for it. That's flat out overkill.

With the right heads and cam that combo could walk the dog. It's amazing what you can do when you put the right parts together. It also helps to degree these after market cams correctly when installing them. Some people just throw them in straight up, but that's just the lazy way of doing it and a lot of times the engine performance suffers because of it.Originally posted by Blackpony View Postwill be terrible on a 302 ci motor. those dont make power till around 3000-3500.

I'll be making plans to go to true street the day it's done. I won't drive it without one.Originally posted by Blackpony View PostYes use this adapter with any filter that has a 4'' opening.
as for the "calibration", that will be done with the tune. the factory "calibration'' of a lma is closest to a 42# injector but even then the computer will need a tune. I would highly suggest a tune once all this is installed. It will make the car run 100x smoother and entirely all around better.
That's what I needed to know, thanks.
