With all the parts you are going to have to replace anyways I would go stock block 408w.

So, did you actually call or drive to the shop and talk to someone in person? Or did you just e-mail everyone and then assume they can't do it? Your asking for a combo that's been done 100s of times. It sounds like a communication problem to me.

Brian at Lonestar has done the same combo on a lot of fox cars, maby 25 over the years that makes right at 700 to the tires with a 331 motor and Victor Jr. heads out of the box using a Vortech with the stock computer. They even did one w/ a single turbo kit thet they built that made more than that. Hell, Will Mcds(Can't remember his screen name) car went a 5.90 with it 12 years ago and drove it everywhere. You might call (don't e-mail) Brian and ask him about it, it's a proven combo that works every time.

Talk to Woody at FordStrokers.com. I was going to get a 347 shortblock from him, and decided to build a 306 instead and spent as much.

Here's a link to about what you want.

Check my sig, My car make close to 650 with 14psi, My heads are the trick flow 195 cnc ported, they are factory ported. I had watts do my short block and I did the rest, with a blower you are looking at about 15k. I have a new ford racing boss block and have about 4500 into my short block. I don't even want to add up the rest to be honest. This is combo number 10 I get bored easily with it.

Ive seen 302s make 3 times the power you're wanting.

15k sounds about right for the parts you listed (new) and labor from a decent shop.

You can get that kind of power with a 302 h/c/i/boost setup....on a stock block.

Now, don't get me wrong, I want a Dart big bore 363, but I also want a about 800rwhp someday!
