Thats the point.
I would like to race a ZR1 with my Cobra

So, basically a Cobra needs at least 650-700rwhp to outrun a stock ZR1 from a highway roll? Thanks for the info!

At thr mile, I seemed to recall a zr1 going 200 with boltons and a cam. Made around 780rw. The car I tuned really needs a pulley to pickup crazy hp..hopefully we can do it soon

The car weighs 330lbs less than a cobra to top it all off... and when it comes to the kind of speed you're going to be racing at, you have to factor in drag coefficient - another thing you'll be second at. If you plan on racing from a roll you can't win essentially, it's going to have more top end no matter what you do, and a higher top speed. When you get into that kind of power, you get to those speeds quickly. You'd probably need 1400hp to get an 03 cobra over 200mph. I know at the texas mile 950rwhp won't get you over 200 - The ZR1 does it with a warranty.Last edited by slownbmta; 04-04-2011, 10:43 PM.

I ran into a black one in mexico one day. He took off on me from about 60 and I was hugging his ass until I hit mid 3rd then the gap opened up and I was getting drug. The gearing in those cars is crazy. I shifted 3 times before I heard him shift once. At the time I had a 2.3 whipple at 19#s making around 600 to the tire. So you would need a big blower like stated above or running a shot.
