It wasn't by choice. Apparently too much tension on a turnbuckle and too much wind snapped one of the posts off at the ground while we were outside playing one day. Could have taken any of us out. I pulled the rest of the posts out which sucked as they were sunk in two feet of concrete, cut two feet off each one and here we are. I'll probably sell the sun shade as well. It's really made to be used with steel posts that are set in the ground at an angle leaning away from the shade itself. I didn't have the room to do that so went vertical. Lesson learned.

Would you (or anyone here) have any use for (4) 4" x 4" x 10' redwood posts for your project? They have been stained (natural color) and sealed yearly and each post has one face that has four screw holes at one end where a bracket was mounted. These are the posts that I was using to hold up the 11' x 11' sunshade over the courtyard.

I haven't even done a search yet, but do we have an electrician on here with good feedback? I'll need power run to the hot tub, and while they're here I want power run to my shed and a future water feature.
Brad recommended a guy to me a while back, and he's more than fair, and I like him. I'll send you his contact info. I actually need to call him myself. I need some light fixtures added.

Gonna try to do mini slab granite countertops on an island i'll post up a thread about it if you haven't done yours yet. Saved close to 80% from quotes I was getting. Even though the 5 grout lines i'll have will be oh so horrific idc.
