Fuck it, leave 'em. You didn't want to write your name in it, but Ramona wanted to leave her mark. lol

My plan once we close is replacing/updating all of the trim 5" baseboards and new door casings and window trim. Paint everything, then rip out the carpet and have new installed in the bedrooms and hardwoods in the family room and hallway. Hopefully I can get it done in ~30 days. Thankfully I can get my company cost on the floors and install, and I can get the trim for free scrounging left overs from jobsites. Only problem is 12' sticks of 5" base don't fit in a short bed s-10!
I did hardwoods and the 5" basebaords in all the bedrooms. Rest of the house already had wood floors. I was going to rip them out because they weren't to my taste, but they've grown on me and fit the era of the house(1966). Plus, that's alotta cash. lol Maybe one day, but they're in good shape, so I won't worry about it for a long time. It does have pretty nice original cabinets, so I just repainted them and updated the hardware. They give the place a lot of character. They have the slide open spice racks under the upper units.

I also had 3 pocket doors put in, replaced a few doors, painted almost the entire interior minus the 2 baths and the laundry room, new blinds, light fixtures, etc etc. It just goes on and on. Once I'm finished I might get a project car again, but this place is enough of a project for at least a couple more years.

Yeah! Thankfully my line of work offers cheap materials and labor.

They're finished for the day. lol, my yard is a damn mess. Rain threw a bit of a wrench into things, but luckily it didn't last long. It of course started right as the concrete truck arrived. He'll come back tomorrow and check things out, maybe do some minor work. The top is going to get.. buffed? I think he said to smoothen it out, then probably late next week if his schedule holds, they will start working on the cover.

The existing patio roof was not done very well, but I want it to look fluid and somewhat match, so don't jump to any conclusions if you see some slightly questionable engineering when I start posting updates on that section. As long as it doesn't fall on my head, I'm okay with it. Man, I can't wait to put a hot tub on this thing, some nice furniture and a propane fire pit.
