Naked unarmed college student murdered by police

A lot of bleeding hearts in here that don't know the realities of dealing with these type of people/circumstances in the field. I had one of these poor innocent unarmed naked guys nearly kick me and my partners ass in the back of the box one time in Ft. Worth. My "weapon" was an injection of Haldol right in the thigh. A taser in that circumstance won't do anything but piss them off.

There is a gas station I used to frequent when the green was dry. You couldn't ask for it strait out you had to ask if there was anything besides cigs to smoke.. Then outcame a package of k2. What was in the bag, diddnt smell, look or taste like any other k2 I have ever seen. It smelled like alfalfa hay and tasted accordingly. I've never tripped ass and became violent or did any of the people I smoked with. But just because the bag says k2 doesnt mean that's what's in the bag.

I'm 2 months sober from any drug whatsoever, I maybe drink 2-4 beers a month now. I have probation to abide by and other priorites.

Shit that will make you trip ass like that could be even been shrooms. The one time I shroomed shit was unreal and I honestly was frightened it would forever change my perception, much like salvia. Salvia at a high dosage 40x + will damn near immobilize you. It was almost like youre retarded, nothing works you lose all motor skills. And it's legal. That I will never understand.

You know, I would rather people smoke weed then K2. I knew a guy in highscool that did acid and that shit gave him weird flashbacks for years after he quit. Anything man made is very bad for you. I have seen crack destroy many many lives. Young beautiful girls turning tricks after getting hooked on that shit. People pulling in six figures, loosing everything they own, and then their lives. Sometimes you guys do not want to here it but sometimes LEOs have some decent advice, sometimes.

Fuck there was some plant with bulbs on the side of the road people were smoking that killed them. Yeah they got high but it was poisonous. Is that Salvia?

How far apart were the prongs? People are amazed when stories like this arise, but do not realize if the prongs are too close together it will not have the same affect.

i dont recall. it was everything i could do to get ahold of an arm.

I know the science behind tasers but it really seems to be more often ineffective against someone on pcp. We had a guy shot with a taser by 3 different officers at different times that pulled the barbs out and kept fighting. He was a small guy 160lbs maybe. I didn't get to the call until 5 officers had worked their way into finally getting him into handcuffs and he was still jumping up and trying to fight. Oh, he was naked too. They had used all of their weapons on hm except their pistols. 5 on 1. That shit is serious.

This is a fact. We hit one of the guys three times and he just ripped em out.

I know I have told this last story before but we caught up to a guy that had not got naked yet and he was just in the beginings of the high. He started talking about the moon, jesus, and how he was in the Marines and Navy. Guy weighed about 135 or so and was in fairly good shape. Dropped him off at the jail that evening for a couple of warrants and the next moring, at 5am ,everyone in my department had to run code to the jail in DeSoto. The guy had punched thru the god damn window of a isolation cell with his elbows. He was naked, had been sprayed, and it took two tazers, riot shields and six guys to pull him out and put him on a stretcher so we could take him to Parkland. You could see all the way into both elbows and one foot. Strapped down, and cuffed, four of us big guys had to ride in the EMS and hold him down. The cell looked like Freddy Kruger had just went in and killed someone.

You guys have no fucking clue what PCP,Wet, K2, or few of the other drugs do to people. The guy from the above story I have talked to on many occassions when he was not high. He actually was in the military and he will tell you straight up that he just likes to get high.

The other two fellows live at different ends of the same neighbor hood. One fucking hates LE and every single time we come in contact with him he talks about killing the police. What is really fucked up is that his mom use to call in all the time anonymous and say there where people arguing on the street corner or a suspicous person in a car. She was trying to not be the bad guy but she almost got someone hurt several times. A single officer, not knowing the house, would show up and get out as if it was a usual call and boom the fight was on. One time it was damn lucky the other officers got there as fast as they did. All three went thru two locked doors, into a bath tub, thru a closet door etc.

You guys are right about one thing though. Walking around naked is really not that odd of behavior to some of us.

110% positive that if "cop" was removed from the story and some random college kid was running naked towards someone on their property there would be no harm here.

A property owner isn't likely to have 3 non lethal weapons to diffuse a situation coupled with years of training.

We don't know that he was on any type of drugs yet. Getting naked on a college campus is hardly something new and unheard of.

The naked thing alone doesn't make me think he was on drugs, but the combination of being naked, banging on a police station window, and then charging a police officer in a rage after the cop supposedly tried to diffuse the situation does.

I'm sure there is more to the story than what's in this article though. No matter what it sucks that it happened and I agree it could have possibly been handled differently, but I don't fault the cop for shooting the guy with the info given.

Tasers don't work on the pain mechanism. Sure, it may not "hurt" but with the electricity coursing through your muscles causing an involuntary contraction, there isn't shit you can do, PCP or not.

A lot of dept don't have tasters either. Seen as too aggressive or not cost effective. But tasers don't always work on high individuals. Google it and u'll see some crazy sob's who power through a taser shot. Taser vs OC or baton is definitely ur best line of defense. If that don't work, or have previous experiance with it being useless, it's hard to not chose a sure thing. If not, he will wear u out waaaay before his high is over.
