What is your daily beater?

1999 jeep cherokee; 190k miles. It's been wrecked a few times and totaled once by my wife but $800 spent on parts bought on eBay got it going again. You can't kill the 4.0. The a/c is cold as hell. It's not stylish at all but I know it's going to start every day. Good, solid, reliable, and cheap.

97 supercab xlt 4x4 4.6L. Runs perfect. Drive her everyday. Has 180k miles and don't show it. I'm impressed with it being a steal when I bought it. Interior is mint and exterior has normal wear for 17yrs of use.

If I had a true beater it would be a cavalier or neon. Nobody likes them so they're cheap but are actually very reliable.

Neon, reliable? It sounds like you've never owned one.

go to walmart parking lot, they have a variety of car. that way you can get ideas for a daily.

My daily is my toy, loaded '13 GT, but only has 13k miles.

If the weather sucks, or I'm going somewhere with no parking, I take the "beater", '01 Jeep Wrangler, with 156k miles. It will soon be traded for a crew cab F150.

So since the SRT8 thing fell through as did an uber clean SSEi I was looking at I am kinda in the air for a daily driver. Just looking for ideas what y'all drive daily to see if it can spark an idea for me. Maybe there is something I haven't though of before.

What do you drive to the store and work and just to get around in when you don't drive your toy? What do you like and dislike about it? You enjoy the car or do you make a Charlie Brown sigh every time you see it?

Id like a little power and room as I am a fat ass but open to any idea really in the 4-5k arena.


And for those of you that have a new Mustang GT or a GM product that trim level starts with a Z or ends in a V as a daily driver ..... well you can just suck it.

I like my truck, its solid as hell and has a nice stereo but I am so tired of driving an old truck all the time. Id like to go through a corner without leaning over. Id also like better than the 11mpg I get in town. LOL

02 Ranger, I love it because it's dead ass reliable and it's a Tremor so it's got a pretty nice stereo (yes, that shit is important), I hate it because it's dead ass slow, and gets about 20 on the highway.
