No shit? PM me his name/location. I don't think I'll ever LS swap mine but if he can do that he can work on my pile.

C220 Mercedes, or the '13 Kia. If it's nasty out, I usually take the Mercedes. The C220 is by far the most reliable $1000 car I've ever driven. 30+ mpg, the interior looks new even though it has 120k of use, and it's never given me any problems. It's the shape of a box and champagne colored, but it never fails to get me from point A to point B & C with comfort. The Kia has been a great car so far, zero complaints, and it has "pep" for being a base 4cyl 6spd.

Yeah, I know. But over 20K for a 10+ year old car with all the electronic stuff (including dash and traction control) disabled... It'd be a cool unique toy but it would cease to be an affordable daily driver.

2004 toyota sequoia but it's my only car. I have no toys

If I had a true beater it would be a cavalier or neon. Nobody likes them so they're cheap but are actually very reliable.

Don't like: There are a few issues that every early G has (stereo/HVAC, front suspension bushings). While fun, it's pretty slow. You can mod it, but it just isn't worth it.
