one thing being left out here

this countrys military has split in half before its not impossible that it could do so again

Say the states get fed up with the fed and say F-U!!! if that happens enough and you get their local governments all agreeing you will get military division as well . im sure the numbskulls will say its impossible but theyve never heard of the civil war lol

I still haven't heard about these super weapons and body armor. Why would he make this statement if he cannot back it up?

What about long term? Think about as the older generation dies off? How will the thinking of the younger generation change us...I hope we pull our heads out of our asses by then and take a look around the world...everyone (except us as far as I can see) is trying to jockey for position while keeping a calm front...just wait I say

You mean beyond the NDAA and the reelection of someone who wants a civilian police force as well trained and funded as the military? And someone who has said he wants to reenact the gun ban? Or perhaps the election of someone who has no problem with executing American citizens without trial

What legislation has been introduced to sparked this topic or is this just a "worst case scenario"?

NOt really. APC's? Those are a joke and can be removed from the equation easily. Not to mention you can steal them if they are used against you. Missiles? Won't be used against an American population. We can't use them against Iraqis or Libyans or Afghanis. Definitely won't be used on something we have to rebuild. Incens? Have you ever used one? Limited blast and again, not really used too often. Do you know how badly armed AFghanis are compared to us? And how they fought the Russians and us to a standstill?

There is the Mk 19 but that again is an automatic 203 that breaks down constantly which still puts it in the Vietnam era weapons. Navy has a railgun but that's requiring a ship to hold so I'm not counting that as last I heard it's still a prototype.

What do you think we have that is new? We tried to get Dragonskin but that was defective so we've fallen back to stuffing thick plates of ceramic into fabric body armor. That's not cutting edge. Our NVG's are horrific and cause more issues than they help.

I want to hear about these super tech weapons and body armor. I want to hear how Americans can't beat Marines because of said tech.

    Tow: Vietnam era
240B and other variations: Slightly lighter M60: Vietnam
SAW is a variant of the MG42: WW2
Bayonets: Yeah, sharp pointy thing on the end of a stick

    I can keep going
welll lets see here, there weaponry would be much more advanced. Either way I figure it it happens they will brand the militias domestic terrorist and our own people would fight them. Some of you guys are giving these people to much credit and said the same thing about obama being reelected. Its just like anything its not hard to lead the sheeple in the right direction if you tell them the right thing. Fighting "domestic terrorist" is no different.
